About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role helps you prepare for future responsibilities as a pharmacist by providing hands-on experience in pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly.
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences.
- Follow all company standard operating procedures at each workstation to help manage and improve patient health.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and care.
- Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional standards.
What you'll need#
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required.
- Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks over a period of time.
- Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.
Location & details#
- Location: Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
- This is a part-time, on-site position.
- The role is paid and follows a rolling term.
