About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective pharmacy environment. You will help deliver care to patients by assisting with prescriptions and managing health conditions. This role focuses on gaining professional experience while contributing to the daily operations of the pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Support patient safety and pharmacy professional practice.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Provide customer service to patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Assist with inventory and workflow management.
- Participate in patient care programs and strive to provide immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 lbs, scanning items, and remaining upright for extended periods.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
