About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap to learn pharmacy operations at the store, district, and regional levels. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist by immersing you in daily pharmacy workflows and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled accurately.
- Provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations.
- Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures at every workstation.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and call to clarify prescriptions or facilitate medication changes where allowed.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for patients and colleagues.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into or active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
- Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.

- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
