About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to gain hands-on experience in pharmacy operations. This role is designed to prepare you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist by completing a comprehensive training roadmap and engaging with store, district, and regional operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and safely.
- Follow company standard operating procedures at each workstation to support patient health.
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and pharmacy standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy.
- Proficiency in using math to solve problems related to prescriptions.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
