About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide care to patients. You will help manage chronic conditions, advise on prescriptions, and support the pharmacy team in maintaining a safe and effective environment. This role focuses on delivering quality care while developing your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients with empathy and compassion.
- Support the pharmacy team by aligning on goals and promoting a positive, energetic culture.
- Ensure all pharmacy operations follow professional practice and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with patient care programs, inventory management, and workflow tasks.
- Complete required training and strive to provide immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 pounds, and reaching or bending to move items.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
