About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This program provides an overview of store, district, and regional operations while you gain hands-on experience through Key Learning Experiences and daily activities. You will prepare for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist by supporting the pharmacy team and engaging directly with patients.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap including activities and Key Learning Experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly, safely, and accurately.
- Follow all company standard operating procedures at every workstation.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care.
- Deliver additional patient health care services, such as immunizations or point-of-care testing, when allowable by law.
- Maintain pharmacy workflow across production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off stations.
- Field medical questions and clarify prescriptions with prescribers under pharmacist supervision.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods.
- Strong attention and focus to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient needs.
- Mathematical skills to solve problems, such as calculating tablet counts or day supplies.
- Ability to remain mobile and upright for extended periods, including reaching, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for patient and colleague interactions.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with a pay range of $23.00 to $28.00 per hour.
