About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition your academic learning into real-world practice. You will work under the guidance of a preceptor and District Leader to complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist by deepening your understanding of pharmacy operations, patient safety, and professional standards.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely, accurately, and promptly.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care during every interaction.
- Perform basic inventory activities, such as managing deliveries and cycle counts, as permitted by law.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at workstations including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Deliver additional patient health care services, such as immunizations, where allowable by law and supported by required training.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ethical principles regarding pharmacy practice and patient privacy.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the program.
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the timeframe set by state guidelines.
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure.
