About the role#
As an engineering intern, you will join the production testing and prototyping team. You will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of production tests for our electric propulsion systems, including traction motors, inverters, chargers, and electronic control boards. This role involves managing prototype projects, improving internal processes, and creating project management tools.
What you'll do#
- Develop production testing strategies and methods for company products.
- Write specifications, review equipment bids, and qualify new equipment upon receipt.
- Commission test stations on-site and at international partner, supplier, and production locations.
- Manage production and inspection non-conformities and assist with client returns.
- Create and optimize project management tools and relevant performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support production teams and prototype engineering efforts.
- Coordinate with technician teams and assist in designing new test equipment and tooling.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, component drawings, assembly diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with National Instruments tools (TestStand, LabVIEW, XCP) is an asset.
- Programming experience in VBA, Java, JavaScript, or C# is an asset.
- Knowledge of Altium Designer and client-server interactions are considered assets.
- Strong interpersonal skills, autonomy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
