About the role#
This is a full-time Engineering Co-Op position based at the Dana Incorporated headquarters. You will work directly with engineers on departmental tasks across several labs and engineering teams. This role provides hands-on experience in driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies.
What you'll do#
- Teardown competitor products to document components and prepare analysis reports.
- Operate gear production equipment and perform tooling change overs.
- Collect and analyze gear dimension data to adjust machinery.
- Prepare samples for testing by sectioning, mounting, and polishing materials.
- Perform material analysis and interpret test results.
- Assemble and test products to meet specific customer requirements.
- Build prototype axle and driveshaft assemblies for lab and vehicle testing.
- Develop and document safe manufacturing work instructions.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Mechanical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering.
- Ability to operate gear production equipment.
- Skill in performing data collection and analysis on gear dimensions.
- Familiarity with sample preparation techniques including sectioning and polishing.
- Knowledge of material analysis and testing methods.
- Understanding of manufacturing work instructions and safety documentation.
