About the role#
The Mechanical Engineering Intern will gain hands-on experience in design, testing, and qualification activities. You will work with the Single Use Technology development and engineering teams to support the Cell Culture Media business. This position is based in Logan, Utah, and requires you to be on-site.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with mechanical and equipment engineers.
- Assist with testing and qualification efforts on a technology improvement project.
- Participate in experimental design and execution.
- Analyze data and prepare final reports.
- Manage assigned work while aligning with the team on scope, cost, and timelines.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles and scientific methods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Solidworks.
- Knowledge of design development and manufacturing processes for plastic materials and components is a plus.
