    About the role#

    This co-op position offers hands-on experience in the medical device industry. You will work with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, process, design, and mechanical engineers. Your work focuses on root cause investigations, manufacturing capacity, and process improvements. You will have a dedicated manager to help you meet your professional development goals.

    What you'll do#

    • Use lab equipment to support root cause analysis.
    • Design test procedures and 3D printed fixtures.
    • Analyze data to support tool qualifications and design changes.
    • Lead at least one root cause or process improvement project.
    • Automate tasks and standardize internal workflows using software skills.
    • Apply Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing concepts.
    • Assist or lead Engineering Change Orders.
    • Travel to local suppliers as needed, up to 5% of the time.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate mechanical, industrial, or bio-engineering program.
    • A minimum 3.0 GPA.
    • A hands-on mentality and mechanical aptitude.
    • Familiarity with statistical analysis and CAD software.
    • Strong attention to detail and good documentation skills.
    • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

    • Term: Winter 2027 (January 11, 2027 - June 30, 2027).
    • Location: Acton, Massachusetts.
    • Modality: Full-time, on-site.
    • Compensation: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour.
    • Note: This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
