About the role#
As a Student Intern, you will work with a program specialist who provides supervision, mentoring, and support. You will help fulfill programmatic initiatives and create safe, engaging environments for students. This role involves working a set number of hours throughout the school year.
What you'll do#
- Implement high-quality resources and programming.
- Maintain open communication with your colleagues and program specialists.
- Collaborate with the team to prepare educational materials, including classroom resources and social media content.
- Develop an understanding of the education philosophy and goals of Denver Public Schools.
- Complete other projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current DPS high school student.
- You live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple demands and competing deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
- You work well in a team and take responsibility for your own performance.
- A commitment to leading for racial and educational excellence.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, with or without accommodations.
