About the role#
This apprenticeship offers current students the chance to gain professional experience in an educational setting. You will work under the guidance of teachers and school leaders at a district elementary, middle school, or early childcare center. The role focuses on supporting students in core subjects like math, reading, writing, science, and social studies. You will help maintain a productive classroom environment while observing and reporting on student progress.
What you'll do#
- Help prepare the classroom for lessons and assist with displaying student work.
- Support teachers by helping students understand instructions and curriculum materials.
- Maintain equipment and resources used during class.
- Assist with basic student record keeping and administrative tasks.
- Follow school policies regarding health, safety, and data confidentiality.
- Contribute to conversations about equity and identifying barriers to success for all students.
- Set and track individual goals to deliver results under teacher supervision.

- You must be a current Denver Public Schools student.
- You must maintain a permanent home address in Colorado.
- You must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, with or without accommodations.
- A commitment to supporting all students so they feel seen and heard in their education.

- The pay rate is $19.29 per hour.
