    About the role#

    The PBS Books Intern reports to the PBS Books Producer. This role provides support across the department and its various programs and initiatives. You will gain experience in digital media production, project management, and audience engagement through hands-on work with our team.

    What you'll do#

    • Maintain and organize records and databases for programs, productions, and partners.
    • Conduct research for upcoming programs, themes, authors, and guests.
    • Assist with production and post-production projects.
    • Draft social media content and promotional messaging.
    • Support communications and audience engagement efforts.
    • Attend weekly planning and PBS Books meetings.
    • Provide general administrative support to the team.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a university or vocational tech program, or graduation within the past 6 months.
    • Pursuing a degree in communications, marketing, library science, or a related field.
    • Ability to commit to 20 hours per week for a 16-week period.
    • Availability to work on-site at least 3 days per week.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and common social media platforms.

    • Term: Fall 2026.
    • This is an unpaid internship.
