About the role#
Investment Engineering is a core group within the Investments Team. This nine-week program offers an inside look at how the firm manages investment data and analysis tools. You will work on projects that support our current business needs while gaining experience with the day-to-day operations of the group. You will balance individual assignments with team-based initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Manage and distribute data to support portfolio management and sales processes.
- Build new tools to improve investment workflows.
- Define and build data structures for end consumers.
- Perform analysis on portfolios and prospective strategies.
- Contribute to efficiency through automation, process design, and implementation.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an undergraduate or specialized Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Physics.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Minimum 3.2 GPA.
- Experience working with data.
- Knowledge of databases and query languages like T-SQL or SAS.
- Strong logic skills and the ability to maintain detail focus while seeing the big picture.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, R, Stata, or Java is a plus.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
- Roles are based in Austin, Texas, or Charlotte, North Carolina.
- This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
