About the role#
The Research Department at Dimensional shapes the firm's long-term strategy and daily operations. We produce research on financial markets and develop our investment approach through portfolio management and technology. This nine-week summer internship offers exposure to the research team and real-world experience on projects that address current business needs. You will work on both individual tasks and team initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Perform analysis on portfolios and prospective strategies.
- Run and analyze simulations for research on asset pricing models and economics studies.
- Conduct empirical research on investment strategies and various financial topics.
- Review academic papers and present findings to internal research teams.
- Collaborate with investment and client services teams to answer internal and client questions.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing an undergraduate or specialized Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Minimum 3.2 GPA.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, C++, Fortran, R, Python, or Stata.
- Experience performing empirical research with large datasets.
