About the role#
As a Junior Structural Engineer Intern at e.construct, you will support our engineering team on specific design and analysis tasks. You will work under the direct supervision of senior engineers. Your specific responsibilities and the complexity of your work will grow based on your performance and your interest in taking on new challenges.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in preparing project designs that meet current codes and standards.
- Perform structural design tasks and calculations as directed by senior staff.
- Use design software, internal spreadsheets, and manual calculations to solve problems.
- Prepare basic material take-offs.
- Coordinate with drafting staff to turn sketches into finished structural drawings.
- Prepare reports and presentations when requested.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of a bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.
- Introductory knowledge of engineering mechanics.
- Ability to work under close supervision and follow instructions.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to handle changing deadlines and work under pressure.
