About the role#
ECC is looking for a student to join our team for a full-time internship during the summer of 2027. You will work on-site at a construction project at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. This role provides hands-on experience with facility construction, warehouse development, and site paving operations. You will work directly with our project management and quality control teams to learn how military construction projects are delivered.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Quality Control staff with daily construction tasks.
- Help with field inspections and keep project documentation up to date.
- Attend meetings with clients and subcontractors, including preparing meeting minutes.
- Track project progress, update schedules, and assist with reporting.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and manage site logistics.
- Maintain project records and electronic filing systems.
- Monitor the site to ensure safety and quality requirements are met.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- You are proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- You can work well with others in a field-based construction environment.
- You have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

- This position is located in Jacksonville, North Carolina, at a project job trailer.
- This is an on-site, full-time role for the summer of 2027.
- The pay rate is $24.00 per hour.
- You must be eligible to obtain military base access.
- You may be required to operate a vehicle on the project site.
