About the role#
As a Manufacturing Scientist or Technical Services Intern, you will join the Technical and Manufacturing Sciences team at our Clinton, Indiana plant. This project-based role focuses on delivering practical solutions to reduce analytical variability, implementing technical projects, or introducing new lab methods. You will gain exposure to various career paths and work alongside subject matter experts on initiatives that have a site-wide impact.
What you'll do#
- Learn the manufacturing environment and how to collaborate with stakeholders to solve problems.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to implement process or lab improvements.
- Gain knowledge in areas such as fermentation, product recovery, product finishing, and packaging.
- Create and use data visualization tools and update technical documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a similar major.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suites.
- A strong willingness to learn.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- This internship is located on-site at our Clinton, Indiana manufacturing plant.
- The term runs from May 17, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
- This is a full-time, paid position.
- You may be required to travel up to 10% of the time to our corporate facility in Indianapolis for program events.
