About the role#
Elk Valley Resources is hiring an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Co-op for a 12-month term starting in January 2027. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Sparwood, British Columbia. You will work within the Coal Division to support the development, maintenance, and implementation of the company's ERM framework and systems.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and maintenance of ERM framework documentation and implementation materials.
- Assist in documenting standardized governance processes and system requirements for risk treatment actions.
- Prepare for the evaluation and implementation of ERM software by cleansing, mapping, and uploading data.
- Cleanse, standardize, and validate enterprise risk data gathered from various documents and systems.
- Support the reassessment of priority enterprise risks by populating templates and consolidating analysis materials.
- Participate in site health and safety programs.
- Provide general program support, including meeting preparation, action tracking, and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems (MIS), Actuarial Science, or Economics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with a focus on formulas, pivot tables, and data cleansing.
- An analytical mindset capable of identifying data issues and inconsistencies.
- Comfort working with legacy enterprise data that requires validation and standardization.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
