About the role#
Elk Valley Resources is hiring a Process/Chemical Engineering Co-op for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Sparwood or Elkford, British Columbia. You will work directly with engineering teams to support steelmaking coal operations.
What you'll do#
- Follow all health and safety programs and policies.
- Work with the engineering team on plant process optimization and new process development.
- Collect samples and perform analysis in both the processing facility and lab environment.
- Organize, schedule, and track the status of projects related to maintenance shutdowns and plant modifications.
- Evaluate and create new ideas and technologies to improve business processes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate degree program for Chemical, Process, Mining, or Metallurgical Engineering.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Comfort working in an industrial environment.
