    About the role#

    Emerson is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern to support the development of products and processes. You will work in both office and lab environments to help meet quality, performance, cost, and schedule goals. This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Brenham, Texas.

    What you'll do#

    • Design or modify products using engineering judgment and company standards.
    • Assist with prototypes, lab testing, and agency testing.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customers on technical matters.
    • Recommend design and process improvements to enhance quality and reduce costs.
    • Prepare and present test results and manage engineering changes.

    What you'll need#

    • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering.
    • Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) on-site.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
    • Zero years of related experience required.
    • Preferred: GPA of 3.0 or above, prior internship experience, and familiarity with basic mechanical systems and hand tools.

    • Compensation: $24-$28 per hour.
