About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern at ENFOS, you will work with experienced engineers to build and modernize an enterprise SaaS platform. This is a hands-on role where you contribute to real product development. You may work across frontend applications, backend services, APIs, data processing, or platform infrastructure. You will participate in engineering practices including design discussions, code reviews, testing, and iterative delivery.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, test, and enhance features across the ENFOS platform using modern software engineering practices.
- Build responsive, intuitive interfaces and reusable components using technologies such as React and TypeScript.
- Develop application services, business logic, integrations, and REST APIs using technologies such as Java and Spring Boot.
- Investigate requirements, evaluate technical approaches, troubleshoot issues, and implement maintainable solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and implementation teams to translate business requirements into working software.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and core computer science concepts.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with Git and version-control workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn unfamiliar technologies.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Durham, North Carolina, or Chicago, Illinois.
