About the role#
As a Student Optician, you will deliver high quality service to customers at LensCrafters. You will work under the supervision of a Licensed Optician to ensure customers receive accurate eyewear fittings and recommendations. This role focuses on providing a helpful, professional experience for every person who visits the store.
What you'll do#
- Assist customers with frame selections and provide recommendations based on their needs.
- Educate customers on adjustment services and answer questions about products.
- Record measurements and perform eyewear fittings to ensure they meet customer requirements.
- Operate the Point of Sale terminal to input customer and prescription information with high attention to detail.
- Maintain the appearance of the store and visual displays.
- Act as a proactive, solution-driven team member who maintains deep product knowledge.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Opticianry program.
- Previous experience in optical dispensing.
- Solid understanding of optical theory and current merchandise.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Experience with sales and comfort using technology, including tablets, to engage with customers.
- Preferred: Active study in LensCrafters certification programs and prior experience in retail or customer service.
