About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience supporting a project team on electrical construction projects. You will work alongside a Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Superintendent to handle daily tasks related to design, cost estimating, planning, scheduling, and quality management. This is a full-time, paid position based in Lima, Ohio.
What you'll do#
- Prepare essential project documentation including submittals, meeting minutes, change orders, and bid proposals.
- Maintain project matrices for document control using Microsoft Excel to track RFIs, drawings, and change orders.
- Create drawings for the installation of electrical components.
- Coordinate project documents by distributing them to relevant parties, including architects, trade contractors, and vendors.
- Assist with materials procurement and cost control efforts.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two years at an accredited college or university toward a B.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- A valid driver license and a safe driving record, as this role requires driving.
- Ability to pass a background check, credit check, and drug screen if required.
