About the role#
This internship offers a chance to gain hands-on experience in engineering practices. You will work with engineers and technicians on production and shop support tasks. The role runs full-time for 12 to 15 weeks during the summer of 2027. You will also participate in career readiness programming to help with your transition from college to the workplace.
What you'll do#
- Assist with preparing repair quotes by gathering technical and cost data.
- Create and review basic engineering drawings for parts and repairs.
- Track active jobs to ensure they meet project timelines.
- Perform job intake and data entry for incoming repair work.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, including tracking deliveries and checking quality.
- Support customer communication alongside the sales and engineering teams.
- Identify opportunities for repair improvements or equipment upgrades.
What you'll need#
- You must be a senior undergraduate student in mechanical, industrial, general, or nuclear engineering.
- A basic understanding of mechanical systems.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with CAD tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and repair processes.
- A foundational grasp of materials, tolerances, and mechanical components.

- This position is based on-site in Stafford, Texas.
- The internship is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week from May through August 2027.
- This is a paid position.
