About the role#
As a Technical Program Manager Intern on the Hardware Engineering team, you will support products through bring-up testing, durability validation, failure analysis, and regulatory certification. You will work alongside engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to learn how global teams align on schedules and risk to ship hardware.
What you'll do#
- Support program schedules by tracking milestones and flagging risks.
- Communicate progress across engineering, reliability, test, and compliance teams.
- Build and maintain validation roadmaps, timelines, and deliverable trackers.
- Define and track resource requirements with senior TPMs.
- Attend test and certification reviews to capture action items and ensure issues reach closure.
- Coordinate the ordering, shipment, and delivery of prototype validation builds.
- Track how build-to-build variation affects downstream test and compliance work.
- Prepare status updates for leadership summarizing risk, progress, and next steps.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Interest in accelerating the adoption of renewables and improving energy infrastructure.
- Ability to communicate clearly and follow up until tasks are resolved.
- Comfort with ambiguity and working across different teams.
- Prior internship, co-op, or technical project experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or Excel is helpful.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Mountain View, California.
- The position is paid with an estimated hourly range of $30 to $40 USD.
