About the role#
Exos is seeking interns for a 12 to 16 week program at our Performance Center in Plano, Texas. This is a learning intensive experience where you will work in a strength and conditioning environment. You will train both individuals and groups while gaining experience to help your career after graduation. This position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Learn from human performance professionals to develop and refine your coaching skills.
- Shadow, observe, and participate in programming for athlete clientele, including youth, adult, collegiate, elite, and professional athletes.
- Build an understanding of the Exos Methodology through weekly lectures, presentations, practicums, practical training, and self-paced modules.
- Gain exposure to sports specific training methods, performance nutrition, physical therapy, and client evaluation techniques.
- Engage with the NFL Combine preparation program.
- Gain the opportunity to earn the Exos Performance Specialist Certification (XPS).
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor or master program specializing in sport science, kinesiology, exercise physiology, or exercise science.
- Ability to receive course credit in exchange for this internship, as it is unpaid.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
- Eligibility to work in the USA.
- A strong interest in working with the active and athletic population.
Location & details#
- This internship is located on-site in Plano, Texas.
- This is an unpaid internship for the Winter 2026 term.
- Interns are responsible for securing and funding their own housing, travel, food, and transportation costs.
- You must confirm your eligibility for course credit through your school advisor.
