    About the role#

    As a university intern in materials control, you will work under the supervision of the laboratory director in Trois-Rivières. This role focuses on field testing and quality assurance for construction projects. You will spend your time on job sites monitoring material placement and ensuring technical requirements are met.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform material control on-site, including fresh concrete, bituminous mixes, and granular foundations.
    • Monitor material placement and collect samples for testing.
    • Verify material characteristics and compare results against project standards.
    • Process field data to write daily reports.
    • Complete assigned tasks and projects according to schedules and technical specifications.
    • Conduct laboratory tests on various material types.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction engineering.
    • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
    • Mandatory ASP construction safety card.
    • Physical ability to lift loads between 20 and 25 kg.
    • Autonomy, attention to detail, and a collaborative team spirit.
    • An AEC or DEC in civil engineering is considered an asset.

    • Location: Trois-Rivières, Quebec.
    • Term: Fall 2026.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: Paid position, with a salary range between $24.00 and $28.50 per hour based on completed internships.
