    About the role#

    This internship takes place during the Fall 2026 term at our Montreal laboratory. You will report to the Senior Director and divide your time between field work and laboratory tasks. The role covers environmental and geotechnical studies, petrography, and expert analysis.

    What you'll do#

    • Support laboratory petrography tasks on granular materials, concrete, and other samples.
    • Perform lab tests on materials including concrete, rock, and masonry.
    • Monitor field sites for environmental characterization, rehabilitation, and geotechnical studies.
    • Complete petrographic analyses using thin sections.
    • Conduct expert analysis and pyrite reports.
    • Supervise drilling operations in soil and rock, including the description of soil and rock cores for quarry or geotechnical studies.
    • Collect material samples from quarries, sand pits, and construction sites.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor degree in geological engineering or geology.
    • Valid ASP construction safety card.
    • Driver license and access to a personal vehicle.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to be attentive, courteous, organized, and resourceful.

    • Location: Montreal, Quebec.
    • Term: Fall 2026.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: 24.00 to 28.50 dollars per hour, depending on the number of internships completed.
