About the role#
This 10-week internship offers a hands-on look at the industrial construction management process. You will rotate through three core areas: Pre-Construction, Production, and Field Operations. The program includes professional development training and bi-weekly mentorship meetings to support your growth.
What you'll do#
- Learn the proposal and budgeting process, including conceptual estimating and quantity takeoffs.
- Review drawings, identify scopes of work, and conduct subcontractor scope reviews.
- Assist with bidding, buyout, and the selection of subcontractors.
- Learn about MEP subcontractors and gain exposure to permitting and project documentation.
- Understand project scheduling, flow, and closeout processes.
- Review plans on-site and attend pre-construction meetings with trade partners.
- Learn and apply jobsite safety practices like inspections, audits, and toolbox talks.
- Participate in daily site walks and track project documentation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid mathematical abilities and time management skills.
- A positive attitude and an interest in seeking growth opportunities.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with CMiC, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project is preferred.
- Prior construction management internship experience is a plus.
