About the role#
The Audit Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York provides independent, risk-based assurance to support the mission of the Federal Reserve System. As a Junior Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in internal auditing while working alongside professionals dedicated to maintaining the stability of the financial system. This is a 10-week, full-time summer program designed for undergraduate students.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the planning, controls testing, and reporting phases of internal audit processes.
- Attend audit meetings with clients and prepare meeting minutes.
- Collaborate with the Internal Audit Data Analytics team to analyze and present audit information.
- Conduct research and organize information to support special department projects.
- Engage with the team through various departmental events.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least your sophomore year of college by the start of the internship.
- A strong academic record with a focus on Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk management principles.
- Ability to execute audit procedures and perform testing for control compliance.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to develop spreadsheets and research tools.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
