About the role#
The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking undergraduate juniors and seniors for a full-time, paid Co-Op position within the Facilities Department. You will work on project-oriented assignments and gain an overview of managing and maintaining bank operations. This role requires on-site work in Philadelphia.
What you'll do#
- Support office renovation projects and equipment upgrades, including AC units, VAV replacements, AHU’s, chillers, cooling towers, and pumps.
- Assist with Building Automation System (BMS/BAS) integration.
- Evaluate mechanical and electrical distribution systems.
- Take accurate notes during project meetings.
- Work with limited supervision to research problems and develop alternative solutions.
- Perform physical tasks such as walking in mechanical spaces, climbing 10ft fixed ladders, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate junior or senior majoring in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
- Intermediate related work or volunteer experience, with second-year Co-Op experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit 3D modeling.
- Strong verbal communication skills, initiative, and the ability to listen well.
- Logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
