About the role#
Findorff is hiring a Safety Co-op to support our safety team in Madison, Wisconsin. This role focuses on promoting a safe work environment across our jobsites and offices. You will gain hands-on experience with safety initiatives on active construction projects while learning about industry practices, risk management, and regulatory requirements. This position is available for the Summer 2027 and Fall 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Assist with jobsite inspections, safety observations, audits, and documentation.
- Attend toolbox talks, pre-task planning meetings, and safety committee discussions.
- Support the investigation, documentation, and tracking of incidents and near misses.
- Help develop and distribute safety communications and training materials.
- Gain exposure to OSHA regulations and compliance activities.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Environmental Health & Safety, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Interest in building a career in construction safety and risk management.
