About the role#
First Liberty Institute offers a summer internship for law students interested in the practice of law. You will work from our office in Plano, Texas, for a 10-week term during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with real cases for current clients.
- Attend seminars on legal theory and practical application.
- Compete in an internal moot court with a final round judged by members of the bench.
- Network with members of the bench and bar to build professional connections.
- Develop and sharpen specific legal skills.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a law student.
- Availability for a full-time, 10-week commitment from mid-May through July.
- A resume.
- Current transcripts with final grades.
- A legal writing sample of no more than 15 pages.

- This is an on-site position in Plano, Texas.
- This is a paid internship.
- We accept applications from 1L and 2L students.
