About the role#
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. You will support the design optimization and testing of key graphite components used in our high-temperature energy storage system. This role is ideal for students who enjoy hands-on work and are comfortable in a lab or test environment.
What you'll do#
- Support the design and testing of mechanical apparatuses.
- Assist with the setup, execution, and optimization of experiments.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians on graphite component development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering program.
- Basic experience with CAD software like SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- A background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, or thermochemical systems.
- Interest or experience working with vacuum or pressurized systems.
- Exposure to simulation tools such as ANSYS.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- Work is on-site in Middleton, MA and Bedford, MA.
- The position follows a rolling term schedule.
