About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Reflect Orbital, you will take on responsibilities similar to our full-time engineers. Your work contributes directly to our flying constellation. We look for people who want to solve difficult problems and are comfortable facing challenges without clear solutions. You must be able to commit to at least 12 weeks of in-person work at our Hawthorne office.
What you'll do#
- Own the design, development, analysis, manufacturing, and testing of novel spacecraft components.
- Build complete tools and testing setups, with a focus on finishing and shipping your work.
- Prototype and iterate on designs rapidly.
What you'll need#
- Experience building and shipping complex, high-quality solutions, while also being capable of scrappy work when needed.
- Ability to work independently.
- Judgment to know when to seek guidance from experienced team members.
- Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering program.
