    About the role#

    Freddie Mac is looking for interns to join the Finance Division for the summer of 2027. This role provides hands-on experience in accounting, finance, and business analysis within the mortgage industry. You will work alongside experienced team members to solve business problems and gain insight into how the company supports the housing market.

    What you'll do#

    • Support accounting activities during the monthly book closing process.
    • Analyze data and report on findings to build your business understanding.
    • Prepare financial reports to help internal management track business performance.
    • Learn about specialized functions within the Finance Division.
    • Collaborate with colleagues on projects and build professional relationships.

    What you'll need#

    • You are currently a junior or a rising senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
    • Your expected graduation date is December 2027 or May 2028.
    • You have strong quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills.
    • You possess solid written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable using Microsoft Office.
    • You are able to start the internship in May 2027.

    • This internship is based on-site in McLean, Virginia.
    • The position is full-time for the summer 2027 term.
    • This is a paid internship at a rate of $32 per hour.
