    About the role#

    As a Custom Applicator Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by working alongside agronomy professionals. You will learn the daily operations of modern crop production and see how custom application supports local growers. This role focuses on building technical and operational skills through field work and equipment management.

    What you'll do#

    • Apply crop protection products and plant nutrients to customer fields.
    • Operate and maintain application, agronomy, and grain handling equipment.
    • Mix, load, and handle fertilizers, seed, and other agricultural inputs.
    • Deliver bulk and packaged materials to customer locations.
    • Collect soil samples and gather agronomic data.
    • Support Ag Advisors to ensure accurate orders and customer satisfaction.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a degree program for Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Technology, Diesel Technology, Precision Agriculture, or a related field.
    • A valid driver's license.
    • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and non-climate-controlled environments.
    • Ability to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights when necessary.
    • Physical ability to repeatedly bend, kneel, climb, and walk extended distances.

    Location & details#

    • This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
    • The position is based in Nebraska and requires on-site work.
