About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience across our grain, agronomy, feed, and energy divisions. You will work alongside operations leaders to gain a broad understanding of our business. The role focuses on facility operations, equipment maintenance, and safety management. It is designed for students looking to build a foundation in agriculture, operations management, or industrial maintenance.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily operations across our business units.
- Support workplace safety initiatives and document compliance.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as skid loaders, wheel loaders, and tractors.
- Handle truck scale operations and assist with customer service.
- Manage truck loading, unloading, facility cleanup, and dump site operations.
- Participate in training programs covering operations, safety, and financial systems.
- Learn to interpret blueprints and facility layouts for construction projects.
- Gain exposure to crop application processes.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Operations, Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Technology, Construction Management, Agribusiness, or Diesel Technology.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and non-climate-controlled environments.
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and walk extended distances.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel throughout the service territory.
