About the role#
As a Data Center Quality Inspector Intern, you provide quality control services for our clients. You perform inspections of electrical equipment, including switchgear, substations, standby generators, and protective relays. This role requires attention to detail regarding mechanical and instrumentation systems to ensure equipment is installed safely and functions correctly. Travel may be required for this position.
What you'll do#
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Perform inspections of switchgear, generators, and electrical distribution components.
- Prepare daily narratives, special inspection reports, and time tracking documentation.
- Submit Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requests.
- Review and approve team reports.
- Ensure all work complies with company and site safety requirements.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent (a higher education degree is preferred).
- Minimum of two years of experience inspecting, testing, commissioning, or operating electrical distribution systems.
- OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety training.
- Ability to maintain high standards and a commitment to excellence.
- Preferred majors include Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering, or Physics.
