About the role#
General Dynamics Mission Systems is hiring Systems Engineer Interns for Summer 2027. You will work on projects that support national defense services and collaborate with teams on technical tasks associated with our core mission. This role offers the chance to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world defense programs while working alongside experienced technical colleagues.

What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited degree program for Mechanical or Systems Engineering.
- Sophomore standing or higher is preferred.
- A thorough understanding of engineering technology, concepts, and principles.
- Ability to obtain a Department of Defense secret security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this role due to the nature of the work.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The position is 100% on-site at our McLeansville, North Carolina facility.
- The pay range is $26.00 to $29.25 per hour.
