    About the role#

    As a Maintenance Group Leader, you will oversee the operations, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment. You will work within the Global Manufacturing System to focus on safety, quality, and cost efficiency. This role involves leading a group of employees in a skilled trade area and making technical decisions based on established procedures. You may be placed in departments such as General Assembly, Body, or Paint.

    What you'll do#

    • Conduct equipment checks and tests while communicating results.
    • Diagnose malfunctions and perform preventative maintenance.
    • Manage equipment breakdowns and develop permanent corrective actions.
    • Provide leadership to skilled trades and supervise contractors.
    • Handle staffing levels for your assigned group.
    • Implement divisional policies and safety practices.
    • Participate in continuous improvement events and departmental meetings.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, including Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related fields.
    • Enrollment in a co-op program.
    • Eligibility to work full-time (40 hours per week) in Canada.
    • Willingness to work in a plant environment with a flexible schedule, including weekends, shift work, and overtime.
