    About the role#

    As a Student Production Group Leader, you will supervise a team of hourly employees in a unionized plant environment. You will support business objectives by ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety. This role requires you to make timely decisions, handle change, and work effectively with risk and uncertainty. You will collaborate on innovation challenges and interact with various levels of the organization.

    What you'll do#

    • Supervise hourly represented employees in a unionized environment.
    • Implement Health and Safety laws and promote a safe work environment.
    • Ensure quality levels are maintained and improved every day.
    • Maintain and exceed efficiency levels through continuous improvements.
    • Manage personnel, material, and equipment usage.
    • Align work with local and national labour agreements.
    • Maintain department records and complete administrative tasks.

    What you'll need#

    • Pursuit of a Bachelors Degree (3rd or 4th year) in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or Commerce.
    • Enrollment in a co-op program.
    • Eligibility to work full-time (40 hours per week) in Canada.
    • Willingness to work in a plant environment with flexible hours, including shift work, weekends, and overtime.

    • Location: Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.
    • Term: Winter 2027.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • This is a paid, full-time position.
