About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to support the daily operations of the Sales and Marketing department at Genesee and Wyoming Inc. You will build a foundation in the railroad industry, including its structure and competitive dynamics. You will also learn how our internal processes, systems, and procedures function.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the department.
- Gain an understanding of railroad industry structure.
- Learn G&W processes, procedures, and systems.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to interact effectively with people at all levels.
- Valid driver's license.
