About the role#
GHD is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position supports our Engineering Design Organization on projects involving water distribution, sewer collection, pumping stations, roadways, and stormwater systems.
What you'll do#
- Research code and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate design options and component specifications while documenting your findings.
- Assist with CADD drawings.
- Perform analysis and design retrofits for new and existing facilities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program for Civil Engineering.
- A solid understanding of engineering fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and determine priorities.
- A willingness to learn on the job and apply theory in a practical setting.
- Involvement in professional organizations is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Buffalo, New York.
- Modality: Hybrid (three days per week in the office).
- Employment: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
