About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects within Clinical Data Management. You will gain experience at a biotechnology research organization while participating in professional development, leadership presentations, and networking activities. The role is based in Foster City, California, and follows a hybrid work model.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and evaluate AI agents that support Clinical Data Management activities.
- Build and test GenAI solutions using LLMs, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and agent-based workflows.
- Support the development and maintenance of Databricks infrastructure and workflows.
- Assist with creating and managing data pipelines, Delta tables, and data models.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for AI agents, Databricks environments, and automations.
- Present your work at the conclusion of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD, or PhD program at a nationally accredited U.S. college or university.
- Continued full-time enrollment in the Fall semester following the internship.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Ability to commit to a full-time, 10-12 week internship between May and August 2027.
- Independent work authorization in the United States now and in the future.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Commitment to inclusion and diversity.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Graduate degree level is preferred.
- Relevant majors include Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration.
