About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to support the Legal Department at Kite, a Gilead company. You will work alongside in-house attorneys to gain practical experience in the biotechnology industry. The role involves contributing to high-impact projects, participating in professional development, and engaging in networking activities. You will conclude your internship with a final presentation of your work.
What you'll do#
- Support legal analyses related to commercial, R&D, and technical operations, including manufacturing, supply chain, and quality matters.
- Conduct legal research, analysis, and investigations.
- Draft and review contracts and assist with due diligence.
- Prepare and deliver training sessions to clients on key topics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders and attend client meetings to provide legal support.
- Draft memos and provide recommendations on legal issues.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD, or PhD program at a nationally accredited U.S. institution.
- Must be enrolled full-time in the Fall semester following the internship, specifically at an accredited law school.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to commit to a 10 to 12 week full-time internship between May and August.
- Independently authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Preferred qualifications include a JD degree, proficiency with MS Office, strong problem-solving skills, and a detail-oriented approach.

- Modality: Hybrid (on-site presence required).

- Compensation: Paid position with eligibility for housing stipends, sick time, and company holidays.
