About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to join the Litigation & Investigations team at Gilead Sciences. You will work on projects that support the company mission while gaining professional experience in a biotechnology research environment. The program includes professional development sessions, leadership presentations, and networking activities.
What you'll do#
- Conduct legal research, analysis, and investigations.
- Draft memos and provide recommendations on specific legal and litigation issues.
- Collaborate with in-house attorneys and paralegals to provide substantive advice to the business.
- Attend meetings with internal stakeholders and outside counsel.
- Present your work at the conclusion of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in a Bachelor, Master, MBA, JD, or PhD program.
- Continued full-time enrollment for the Fall semester following the internship.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Ability to commit to 10 to 12 consecutive weeks of full-time work between May and August.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Commitment to inclusion and diversity.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be independently authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Preferred degree level: JD.
