About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience for students in the John Deere Ag Tech program. You will work within our service department to learn how we maintain and repair agricultural and turf equipment. The program combines classroom learning with practical work in the shop under the guidance of our service team.
What you'll do#
- Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment.
- Shadow experienced technicians to learn service department operations.
- Participate in Service EDUCATE training programs to build your skills.
- Keep up to date on John Deere and competitive product lines.
- Track your time and materials used for all assigned tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols while working on equipment.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Enrollment in an AAS degree program for John Deere Tech.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance using technical manuals.
- A valid driver license.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs repeatedly.
- A forklift license is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Williston, North Dakota.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid internship with a starting rate of $22 per hour for the first year and $24 per hour for the second year.
- The program follows a rolling schedule.
